Summer Festival at Otha’s Place

Filed under: Uncategorized — Scott Barretta @ 10:47 pm

Sharde Thomas, grandaughter of Otha Turner and the leader of the Rising Star Fife and Drum Band, is hosting her own event this Saturday. I talked to her the other day, and she suggested that acts likely to play are–besides her group–the gospel group the Como Mamas, Rev. John Wilkins,  Mark “Muleman” Massey, R.L. Boyce, and Richard Johnston. Later on the evening there’ll be a dj.
